(fr)

VINCI - Chantiers Modernes
Programming of an Rhinoceros Layermanager with Excel-Interface
This tool was required for the planning coordination in the context of the restructuring of the "Halles" in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. It allows the automatic normalisation of the 3D models received from the different participants before their integration into the coordination model.
More specifically, this application allows the management of layers in Rhinoceros files via MS Excel and the automatic modification of these layers according to a standard developed for the project. The application was programmed in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

ZAC des Batignolles - Construction of an urban slab of 550 x 70m
Reconstruction of railway infrastructure on the outskirts and under a 35,000 m² urban slab

Setting up a methodological tool
By creating a work methodology in AutoCAD, we aimed to improve the quality of file exchanges between the company's employees and its partners. To enable everyone to quickly understand the content of a drawing file and to be able to modify it while remaining within the same work logic.
In addition to the fluidity of exchanges, the charter aimed to guarantee the quality of drawings for display and printing and the quality of project presentations through the uniformity of the drawings produced by the various participants.
This mission was concluded by a methodological note, by the implementation of templates and standard documents as well as by training sessions given to the company's employees.

Chur West station-bridge
Engineering competition : New railway station Chur West, crossing Raschärenstrasse

(fr)

Abondant 3 - Construction of a low-energy house
The garden and its house, a spatial continuum.
Three principles have significantly determined the development of the project.
1. energy efficiency: geothermal energy, use of natural solar radiation and efficient thermal insulation.
2. perceptible and functional continuity of the living space beyond the building envelope.
3. integration into the context through the analysis and reinterpretation of local typologies.
The chosen cross-section profile, a roof that sits directly on the ground, is inspired by traditional agricultural buildings of the region, whose flat tiled roofs become the façade.
This cross-section profile is relatively compact. It offers a low envelope-to-volume ratio, favouring the thermal insulation of the building.
The orientation of the building favours the relationship to the south.
The north façade on the site boundary consists of a large tile roof pitched at 45°. Heavily insulated, it protects the building and the garden from the prevailing rain winds and cold.
The south façade opens onto the landscape garden. It has a 60° slope to make the most of passive solar radiation. The façade is equipped with devices that allow the incoming radiation to be regulated in winter and blocked in summer.
The spatial continuity between inside and outside is emphasised by the arrangement of small volumes (sanitary facilities, outdoor workshop, outdoor bicycle shelter), fixed furniture (kitchen sideboard and cupboard for the heating system), by the continuity of the floor, the continuity of the wooden structure, echoes to indoor elements outside, such as the lighting fixtures.
Even in winter, when the windows are closed, the perception of the living space is extended. It extends to the boundaries of the garden.

Bioclimatic house-extension
Bioclimatic extension, integrated in the topography of its site.
Minimising intervention in the existing building in favour of a high-quality bioclimatic extension:
Our client, a couple about to retire, wanted to settle permanently in Néoules from the end of the current year, as they would be leaving their jobs in Paris.
Their biggest wish was to have a high-quality, comfortable and environmentally friendly house where they could live all year round.
The second important wish they expressed was to have space for their children, grandchildren and friends who would visit them regularly.
We then decided together that it would be economically advantageous to leave the existing pavilion more or less unchanged. Only light refurbishment work, consisting of bringing the electrics up to date, rethinking the interior distribution, creating openings to improve the connection with the extension, improving thermal comfort, especially by re-insulating the roof and adding external insulation, which was planned as a second phase.
Our work focused on the design of the extension, which will house the couple's permanent living space, while the existing living space would be used occasionally for friends and family.

Tataïa luminaire
Table and bed lamp
(fr)
